Most businesses in Northern BC know they need photographs. What they usually need is more specific: a set of images and video built for a particular job, whether that is a website rebuild, an investor update, a recruitment drive or a tourism campaign.

That is the difference between hiring a photographer and commissioning content. A photographer turns up and shoots. Content work starts with what you need to communicate, to whom, and where it will appear, then works backwards to the shoot.

In practice that means a few questions before anyone picks up a camera. Who is the audience: customers, investors, regulators, prospective staff? Where will this appear: a website, a quarterly report, a social feed, a trade stand, a printed brochure? What has to be visible in the frame: the scale of a site, the condition of a facility, the people doing the work?

The answers change the shoot. Investor material needs different framing from recruitment material, even on the same site on the same day. Social content needs vertical framing that a brochure never will.

Camus Photography Media works this way across Northern British Columbia, for mining and resource companies, municipalities, tourism operators and local businesses. Shoots happen on location, through all four seasons, with Transport Canada certified aerial coverage where the project calls for it.
